The patient-specific treatment programme is based on a thorough baseline assessment and the assessment includes pain characteristics, physical impairment and associated psychosocial distress.

Progress in physical function and pain reduction is monitored during the treatment and used to modify the programme. An outcome assessment covering function, pain and impairment levels and overall treatment satisfaction is performed at the end of the treatment.

The treatment includes physical exercise with specific devices enables precise and targeted loading in a safe and controlled manner. These progressive exercises are combined with functional exercises, stretching and relaxation.
