Dubai Bone & Joint Center in partnership with Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam is embarking on innovative research in the field of gene therapy. This and other research programs constitute a major part of our vision.
There is a great need for innovative therapeutic approaches for musculoskeletal treatment and research of related conditions, such as arthritis. Gene therapy research will benefit not only the clinic and patients, but will influence international opinion and medical studies as a whole. Amsterdam Medical Center's partnership compliments the existing medical services, while at the same time taking specialty, musculoskeletal medicine to the next level.

HMI is a national team of management professionals who hold expertise in the specific operational areas of orthopaedic program design & development. HMI works with hospitals & hospital systems in the United States to evaluate, plan, implement and manage the successful operation of a musculoskeletal program of distinction.

The Bone and Joint Decade
The Bone and Joint Decade was formally launched at the headquarters of the World
Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. This comes on the heels of the November
30, 1999 endorsement by the United Nations.
The goal of the Bone and Joint Decade is to improve the health - related quality
of life for people with musculoskeletal disorders throughout the world. These disorders
are the most notorious and common causes of severe long-term pain and physical disability,
affecting hundreds of millions of people across the world.
The Decade aims to raise
awareness and promote positive actions to combat the suffering and costs to society
associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as joint diseases, osteoporosis,
spinal disorders, severe trauma to the extremities and crippling diseases and deformities
in children.
